If you are on a tighter budget, new to your sport, or more of a vlogger then the Osmo Pocket can be considered the better option due to its lower overall price tag when you factor in the cost of the actual action camera in addition to your Karma Grip. This means that you can capture footage from the Karma Grip, then capture footage holding your camera in your hands then use a wearable gimbal to meet the needs of your situation.Īs the action camera is sold separately for the Karma Grip we often see that as the more popular option for people who have been involved in their action sport of choice for longer and have more of a budget available for their accessories. GOPRO 7 VS OSMO POCKET UPDATE
With Cinelike D coming in the near future on the pocket software update the video will look better to my eyes.
GOPRO 7 VS OSMO POCKET PRO
Not as good as the new Mavic Pro 2 or the Inspire 2 even with the least expensive X4S camera, but it looks much better that the original Osmo handheld. Overall the camera video quality is good. The waterproof housing looks big and not sure if you can mount it to anything. So it’ll need to my mounted high up to avoid spray. And of course the fish eye look of GoPro cameras, while minimized on the 7, used to look neat but now looks antique to me. Also horizon tracking and not tipping to either side when the boat turns. That to me is the selling point over the GoPro 7. What I’m most excited about is the ability to “follow” my daughter surfing/wake boarding.
GOPRO 7 VS OSMO POCKET DRIVERS
Along with the wireless adapter I will have full control of the camera/gimbal from my phone at the drivers station. I have a GoPro mount on the tower and will be attaching this via the DJI accessory mount to that.

I bought it as a steady camera that I can use on my tower.

You can’t adjust gimbal speed or any of the other functions that are part of the higher end systems. With that said the software is similar but ability is limited. I use a Ronin-s for business and they tend to incorporate the high end functions into their lower end products.

I own a lot of DJI products and they all have worked great.
